This prop was made for the Sweeney Todd Musical production by Summer Musical Enterprise. The funnel was constructed from floormat EVA foam. The main body was made using a concrete form tube. The flywheel and legs were made from wood and the "spout" was made from a colander and PVC pipe. The grinder comes apart in three stages (funnel, body, legs) and the flywheel's tension can be adjusted for the actors. Details like the face of the gauge could not be seen by the audience but was a fun Easter egg detail for the production team.
