I wanted to channel the Chernabog from Disney's Fantasia with this piece by how he emerges from his mountain. The mountain for this piece was made with balls of paper as a form followed by papier-mâché. The mountain has a computer fan and lights mounted inside hence why the piece is suspended with legs. Pieces of orange and yellow ribbon are attached to the fan so that when it's on, it looks like fire. The demon is a skeleton decoration covered in cotton and latex to create the burnt flesh look. The entire piece is painted with acrylics.
