It was so nice of R2-D2 to take time out of his busy schedule to be the ring-bearer to my wedding!

R2-D2 was almost entirely 3D printed and largely followed the plans provided by the Astromech Builders Club. His arms extend and retreat, his dome rotates, full movement, and two of the three holoprojectors twitch randomly. His front holoprojector can project loaded videos. Various lights and sounds accompany him and can be set to standby or piloted remotely with an Xbox 360 controller. He's powered off of two tool batteries, runs via an arduino mega, scooter motors, and various servos. His door panels can be opened and closed and will eventually be done remotely.

Painted with rattle cans, rub-n-buff, and weathered with oil paints.
